The attached file is a zipped Service Pack for Carrier's DataLine Interogation Software program. The requirements for using this Service Pack are that there is a full version of DataLine already installed. This Service Pack upgrades the current installed version to add functionality to versions from 1.0 through 1.8 and upgrades all these versions to 1.9. If the upgrade is to be carried out on field computers that do not have internet connections the set up file install_dataline_19.zip should be copied to a CD and then follow the installation instructions below.

Requirements
DataLine version 1.0.0, 1.1.0, 1.2.0, 1.3.0, 1.4.0, 1.5.0, 1.5.1, 1.6, 1.7.0, 1.8.0 must already be installed.
Verifying current version
Start DataLine
Click ? open the about dialog box.
The version number will be displayed in the About Dialog Box. If the version number shown is 1.8 then nothing further needs to be done. If the version number is 1.0.0, 1.1.0 1.2.0, 1.3.0, 1.4.0, 1.5.0, 1.5.1, 1.6, 1.7.0 or 1.8.0 then download and install the file below.
Shut Down DataLine
Downloading the Service Pack
Click on the file attachment below
When asked what you want to do select 'Save This file To Disc'
Select where you want the downloaded file to be saved to. By default it will save to C:/Windows/Temp/Install_DataLine_19.zip. If you change the download location please note the location it is saved to
Click enter to start the download.

Installing Service Pack 9 on Windows 98 / 98SE
Ensure ALL programs are shut down before starting the upgrade process. This includes programs that may be running in the background in the Windows toolbar. Such as software firewalls eg Zone Alarm, Anti virus programs eg Mcafee, Instant messaging programs eg AOL or Yahoo Instant message.
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the directory you saved the download file to.
You will need to extract the files from the zip file before proceeding.
Double click on Install_DataLine19.zip
Select the directory you want to extract the files to
Click OK
Navigate to the directory you extracted the files to if different to the location of the zip file.
Double click the file SetupDL190.exein this directory and the service pack installation will begin.
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the install, NOTE do not change the location of the program files.
On completion of the installation reboot your computer for the changes to take affect.
Once your computer has rebooted navigate back to the directory containing the unzip files.
Double click the file UpdateDL191.exeand a minor events update will take place bringing all the events and codes up to date.
A reboot is not required after this install.

Installing Keyspan USB - RS232 adaptor
NOTE:
The following instruction are only required to install the drivers and port for USB connection on those computers that do not have an RS-232 com port.
Procedure to Install the Carrier Transicold USB Driver
Locate the setupDL_USB.exe file. Install the Carrier “USB Driver” by Double Clicking on the icon.
At this time there is only one acceptable USB to Com port adapter supported by the above driver. The adapter may be purchased through the Carrier Transicold Performance Parts group. The part number is 07-00503-00.
Procedure to Install the Software and configuration files for the USB Adapter.
After you have purchased the USB adapter.
Insert the CD.
Click on the Install Software icon.
Select the appropriate operating system.
Agree to the licensing agreement; by clicking the “YES” button.
Follow the popup instructions to complete the installation procedure.
Select the following driver in the drop down window.
Keyspan USB Serial Port
Click install
From the new window go to the following folder: C:\Windows\System32\.
Select vspDevUpr.sys file and Double Click or Click Open. This will install the driver and show the Message “Installed Driver Successfully”.
Click Configure.
Unplug the USB Serial Adapter and plug it again.
Click on Test Button, Message “Driver has loaded successfully” will display.
Adaptor is now ready for use.
After Successful configuration of USB driver. Open DataLine1.9.0/1.9.0 LunchPad->Program Option and Selected appropriate com Port and Click on Save Button.
